How it works

Torch delivers measurable outcomes through our four-step process.

Evaluate

Building self awareness is the first step toward growth. The Torch Leadership Assessment helps experienced professionals gain clarity on existing strengths and development opportunities.

Coach

During regular 1:1 video sessions, an experienced Torch coach will help the leader build a custom development plan based on their leadership assessment results.

Execute

Leaders then set their own growth goals with the help of their Torch coach. Together, they will define specific actions to track progress and hit leadership development targets.

Grow

Integrate learnings and capture insights for a new leadership future.

Our methodology

Leadership Assessment

The Torch Leadership Assessment is our proprietary 360° review process. It consists of a comprehensive self-assessment as well as feedback from peers, direct reports, and managers. The assessment rates leaders across 3 primary leadership dimensions: Character, Relationships, and Influence. Each dimension is composed of several subdomains that collectively determine a leader’s effectiveness and potential.

Leaders can access assessment results on their Personal Dashboard. Aggregate scores are continually updated and tracked over time.

Our model for behavioral change requires a growth mindset: the ability to listen to feedback, put in effort and adopt skillful behaviors. These 3 tenets – feedback, effort, and skills – are the foundation of the Torch Development Plan. Torch coaches design this personalized roadmap for each leader based on their assessment results.
